It has been quite an exciting Easter week.. isla started the week off with an epic Turkey hunt and we finished the week off with big giant hungry Sheepshead!! The middle of the week was filled with a bug and windshield day…. I was the bug, but nothing says hatteras like a bluefish fish fry to start the season off Craig Allen style!!! It seems like winter is never going to end here in hatteras. I’ve had quite a few calls lately about spring fishing and I can’t wait for it. We are stepping into our new sled . Bigger Better,Badder,Faster!! 6 feet longer a foot wider and 150 more horses for this year. She is ready too go. I finished up installing the new optic sonar system yesterday. The last two months have been filled with deer, ducks, and some bluefin tunas as of late. It’s good too see this fishery on the rebound.. the sheepshead and big drum will be here before long I just hope this new sonar works!!!! #barnysloigh #podunkpoint #gottabemobile #deepsea

We caught a beautiful sunrise to the East this morning as we headed way to the west!! Way way west. I’ve been saving a small rock pile up big spring creek for awhile now and I’m sure glad it was holding.. The reel swirly got on our numbers but promised to erase them , imma have to check his Garmin on that promise! Fall fishing seems to be late this year and we are still fishing and catching! We did a little deer hunting over the weekend, actually more like goofing off in a blind, Today it was rough (imagine that) so we stayed close and plugged around podunk point most of the day. Their was just enough action to keep Tony and jeff not thinking about smallmouth bass!!!

I got a hot tip from a beach fisherman this morning , he said to try some old numbers he called “the bird house hole” …. I’ve never caught much there but he was right, it was holding today, Took me a long time to scan the area with the sonar but once I dialed in it was game on….
