I must have screwed up my schedule today because nobody showed up this morning, but that’s ok after yesterdays long ride to fish some new structure had to give the PINK boat a little rest.. I didn’t fish today with the terrible weather forecast so river and I took off on a long journey to check out some secret numbers a shrimper gave me down the sound…. They look very promising even though we didn’t fish I think they were loaded looking at my sonar! Broke out the vice and tied a few jigs when I got home in hopes of this being the magical week at podunk point!!! We sure have been blessed by good fishing the last two days. Drum, sheepshead, blues, and Spanish…. Lil Jonny island time had some cobia action and even caught the first one of the season today! Pretty work buddy!!!! It got rough on the shoals and the fleet was lucky enough to follow a pathfinder home who broke down the chop for us. Myself, hook-up, little Pam, and reel swirley all followed in line behind him.. #hatterasncredfishcapitaloftheworld #ONEM

Another fowl weather gear day…. Spray, wind, and rain , imagine that! I decided to stay close to home and fish the merry go round this morning, they was 2 giant 50” old drum hanging out on the top of the 230 rock…. And I was glad to have em.. since wreck dawg posted the see me’s secret numbers that spot was fished out in less than 3 days…. So off we went running to an old spot I call the hambone…. Thank goodness it had a few convicts on it. Im just gonna sleep in this rain suit tonight. Tomorrow’s forecast looks like 2” of rain and 20mph winds!!!! .

It seems like I’ve lived in foul weather gear this spring. It’s been a fun filled week with Teddy and his crew, but today Kia caught the biggest sheepshead I’ve caught so far this season!! Hopefully all this weather gets gone and the cobia show up with slick calm seas for our fleet.

We took a long long boat ride today to some secret numbers the wreck Dawg posted the other day. It seemed like we ride forever and when I finally arrived it was sheepshead not Tog, as I was expecting. But that’s ok. We didn’t mind. Well no peacock sightings today, I feel like the NE 20-20th winds pushed him closer to Bermuda than Hatteras.. but it was another full fowl weather gear day. Well today’s weather pretty much sucked.. rough as hell this morning but we took off running 52 miles and low and behold when I arrived f/v hook-up had found my secret convict spot …. He was spot locked dead center on podunk point!!!!! No big deal though we shared the spot and I was lucky enough to see a peacock on the ride home…. I was gonna give him a ride home but didn’t think he would stay on the boat with all the wind…..
