Thanks goodness for a good crew!! I almost threw the towel in this morning at 8:30. And went home…. I spun a hub on my prop , a lightning storm covered us up, the ocean was rough, no fish, and to top it off thick fog set in. And to top that off my motor quit coming in the breakwater this afternoon. This job is really testing me here lately …. Ballyhoo Bob somehow convinced me to stay and at 4:00 we found some drum!!! 12 miles from home.

Been picking along in the sound the last few days close to home, with drum and bluefish…. , but today we struck way south to the glory hole looking for an Amberjack, only problem was all we found was good drum fishing!!! I learned one thing today. Never listen to ballyhoo BoB!!!! He thought he knew where the sheepshead were but it was a desert when I got there!!!!!!
Big schools everywhere today!! Lots of sight casting action. It seemed like at one point they were eating the prop off the Honda. We never caught a keeper but plenty of overs!!!

Me and river went outta town for youth Turkey hunting, and it was a great little vacation. We got back just in time for the wind to crank, I almost decided to cancel today because of the wind (If I cancel it’s blowing!!) but then figured if I did cancel we should have been hunting. So away we went!!! #OnEm

Dude you're the man! If they are there you will find them, that I am very confident of. I've experienced it first hand more times than I can remember. Looking forward to our trips coming up very shortly! P.S. don't pull out all the Sheepshead until we get down there!
The only reason we made it through the freezing temps is because the fish kept us interested for at least 1/2 the trip!!

Cold and windy in Hatteras this week but we did get out once and found some reds. The mailman delivered some citations to the house today as I was spooling up tarpon reels. What a coincidence that was.

This morning I had my first skunk in 2 years!!! I zigged when I should have zagged, and before I knew it we had the 🦨 in the box!!! And was on the way in. It sucked!!!!! I really hope I can go another two years before that happens again. There were a few drum bites but not onboard the red boat. This afternoon we found a box full of skunk colored fish,
